Exmoor Retreats holiday accommodation. We offer a large traditional Farmhouse, two Lodges and two Barn Conversions over a twelve acre smallholdaing. Laying in a wooded valley, nestled on the edge of Exmoor National Park and close to the chocolate box towns of Bampton and Dulverton, with the market town of Tiverton only a short drive. All accommodation is comfortable and homely with both contemporary and traditional features, boasting all off the modern living requirements such as WiFi and Hot Tubs. A stay at Exmoor Retreats will help you relax and enjoy the amazing countryside, possibly try a new activity or visit a new place. Exmoor National Park is steeped in history and it's there for you to explore. It's what great memories are made of.
Lodges
Two lodges with panoramic views over the Exe Valley.
Sleeps 4, central heating, WiFi, hot tub, garden area with bbq and dining, dog friendly, river walks, and a few minutes from the beautiful old charter town of Bampton, near Exmoor.
Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is a charming detached property which includes a stunning blend of period features with a contemporary feel. Farmhouse kitchen with Aga, three double bedrooms, WiFi, snug with wood burner, big comfy sofas and soft furnishings
Barns Conversions
New for 2022 are Exmoor Retreat's barn conversions - Bluebell and Primrose. Each sleeps six but combined they will take a party of twelve with access through an adjoining door. Both have their own brand new hot tubs and are amazing open plan living holiday lets. See their pages below. We think you'll love them. We do!

Bluebell and Primrose are new to Exmoor Retreats for 2022! Both are open plan luxury three bedroom, two bathroom holiday lets with spacious kitchen diner and living room boasting flat screen TV, fridge freezers, stylish kitchens and dining areas with comfy sofas on the inside and hot tubs and outdoor dining. Close to Exmoor National Park and the market town of Bampton.
Exe Valley Lodges
Stay right in the heart of Exe Valley Lodge near Bampton. You can choose to relax or to roam the pastures taking in breath-taking views here with your own river walk. You can visit nearby Exmoor, or one of local cosy pubs.
With its own garden, private parking, open plan kitchen/living room, fire and beautiful valley views.
Sleeping 4, dog friendly, you have the freedom to do just as you please with 10 acres here whatever the season.
Great walks, a minute drive to the pretty town of Bampton with all local amenities.
The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is a charming detached property which includes a stunning blend of period features with a contemporary feel. A particular feature is the spacious kitchen/family room which has tri fold doors opening onto a terrace both sides of the property.
Wild Camping
You can tailor your stay to what you want, there are no pitches you choose where you place your tent, build your shelter or put your sleeping bag on the floor. Toast marshmallows on your campfire. Experience the natural habitat both during the day and the stars by night with panoramic views over the Exe Valley. Enjoy the peace and quiet or go wild with a dip in the river here. Facilities are available - these being a toilet and wash basin. But due to the current times we do encourage you to wash up at your camp. Cooking on an open fire is one of the best parts of wild camping. You can build your own camp fire we have fire baskets, kindling and logs available on site with a local butchers and deli just down the road - just let us know what you need on arrival.

Our partner Horse-riding centre based locally specialise in riding on Exmoor, safari riding days and also accompanied hacks.
The breathtaking scenery of Exmoor has inspired poets and writers for generations.
Fishing
Exe Valley Fishery is one of the oldest and best loved small stillwater Trout fisheries in the UK, first opening its doors to sport fishing in 1968.
There are 2 lakes; Lobbs Lake and Anchor Lake one for fly fishing and one for all methods.

We are situated on a hill on the edge of the Exe Valley with fantastic views of Tiverton and the river Exe. We run the clay shoot in a deep valley enabling us to set up a variety of simulated game targets for both experienced and novice shots.
